The SBM Charitable Foundation (“SBMCF”) awarded one hundred ten (110) college scholarships totaling $225,050 at its Annual Scholarship Reception held June 18, 2019. Twenty nine (29) students are new award recipients, while eighty one (81) represent scholarship renewals, with eleven (11) of the students attending Graduate School. The SBM Scholarship Program began in 1996 and is available to students who will be attending accredited colleges and universities in Connecticut, and who also live in Hartford, Tolland, or Windham county. SBMCF Scholarships are renewable each year of a student’s college career as long as they continue to meet the initial eligibility requirements. Between the years of 2004 and 2019, a total of $3,044,150 was awarded to a total of 1584 scholars.
