The SBM Charitable Foundation (“SBMCF”) awarded one hundred eighteen (118) college scholarships totaling $250,000 at its Annual Scholarship Reception held June 19, 2018. Forty two (42) students are new award recipients, while seventy six (76) represent scholarship renewals, with seven (7) of the students attending Graduate School. The SBM Scholarship Program began in 1996 and is available to students who will be attending accredited colleges and universities in Connecticut, and who also live in Hartford, Tolland, or Windham county. SBMCF Scholarships are renewable each year of a student’s college career as long as they continue to meet the initial eligibility requirements. Between the years of 2004 and 2018, a total of $2,819,100 was awarded to a total of 1474 scholars.
