The SBM Charitable Foundation (“SBMCF”) awarded one hundred twenty-one (121) college scholarships totaling $225,050 in July 2020. Forty-two (42) students are new award recipients, while seventy-nine (79) awards represent scholarship renewals with fourteen (14) of those students attending Graduate School. The SBM Scholarship Program began in 1996 and is available to students who will be attending accredited colleges and universities in Connecticut, and who also live in Hartford, Tolland, or Windham County. SBMCF Scholarships are renewable each year of a student’s college career, as long as they continue to meet the initial eligibility requirements. Between the years of 2004 and 2020, a total of $3,269,200 has been awarded to a total of 1705 scholars.
