The SBM Charitable Foundation (“SBMCF”) awarded one hundred seventeen (117) college scholarships
totaling $225,500 in June 2022. Forty four (44) students are new award recipients, while seventy three
(73) awards represent scholarship renewals with seven (7) of those students attending Graduate School.

The SBM Scholarship Program began in 1996 and is available to students who will be attending
accredited colleges and universities in Connecticut, and who also live in Hartford, Tolland,
or Windham County. SBMCF Scholarships are renewable each year of a student’s college career,
as long as they continue to meet the initial eligibility requirements. Between the years of 2004 and 2022,
a total of $3,719,700 has been awarded to a total of 1945 scholars.
